I. Fire
· Lieutenant promotion update, with anticipated April 10 swearing-in, 3 for promotion with the anticipated retirement of Guy Manning.
· Continuing updates on the firefighter/paramedic hiring process. We continue the CPAT training with 8-10 candidates showing up each night.
· Flooding was minimal with only Cincinnati Pool & the old Toro building having damage.
II. Recreation No report
III. Service
Civic Center remediation is continuing
Path lights should be completed by 4/10/08
III. Engineering
· Chris Patterson Evendale/Blue Ash connector street off Gate Club
· We directed them to meet with Blue Ash and get back with us
IV. Gorman Heritage Farm
Peggy handed out and reviewed a Board of Trustees manual she gives to all board members.
Reviewed the Farms Financial report
Peggy brought us up-to-date on the Social Venture Partners grant application. GHF made the cut to the final 6 and is scheduled to present a final proposal on 4/23/08. GHF has also applied for a $10,000 grant for an intern.
She also mentioned they are continuing to apply for more grants to help support the farm.
Other items:
Spence Faxon & David Fields from Integrys gave us an update to consider re-evaluating looking into using a utilities broker. They now have Green Township and Cheviot as clients. Committee will discuss further next month.
